The Meadens Motor Group was first
established by Peter Sexton, the current Managing Director,
in October 1991 and by February 1992 had been awarded
the SEAT Franchise at Sway.
In January 2003 the company opened
another branch, based in Bransgore, near Christchurch.
Bransgore Garage quickly gained the reputation of supplying
quality used cars of all makes and shortly after opening
added the franchise, Daihatsu. The 6 car showroom and
state of the art workshop facilities were extensively
re-modeled to comform to Daihatsu's exacting standards.
The company has since become one
of the south's largest, privately owned motor dealers
and has over 150 used cars in group stock at any one
time. Peter Sexton, while as MD is still obviously very
much involved in the business, also competes extensively
in motor sport, currently rallying the budget priced
Skoda Fabia 1.4 with great success, thus fully supporting
the franchises.
John Lamb joined the company in
2003 as Group Sales Director, the group benefitting
from John's vast experience with the motor industry.
Peter and John both share the same principals of the
Meadens Motor Group... i.e. Value for Money, Professionalism
and Expertise in all areas of Sales and Aftersales.
In June 2006 we developed the business
further by changing the franchise at Sway to Skoda.
We are still able to look after our SEAT customers at
Sway by way of the SEAT Approved Programme. Sway aslo
benefits from being an official SEAT service centre.
In October 2009 Meadens Motor Group
added the Subaru Franchise to it’s portfolio at the
Bransgore Garage premises. Subaru have a superb range
of lifestyle vehicles and are now equipped with the
critically acclaimed “Boxer” diesel engines in their
Impreza, Forester and Legacy Models.
And a final message from
John...
"We
would like to welcome our customers with a warm, welcoming,
relaxed and pressure free environment. We offer a totally
hassle free and memorable buying experience which we
hope will continue from the day you buy your first car
to the day you buy your next and retain your loyalty
in the future, not just today. But to do that we have
to be not just good, but VERY good at our jobs. We think
we are but only YOU can confirm this!"
